Residual Solvent Analysis
- Residual solvents are leftover chemicals from the process used to extract the cannabinoids from the plant. The solvents are evaporated to prepare high concentrated oils and waxes. Some residual solvents can remain after this process.
- Using headspace gas-chromatography(GC) and GC-MS (mass spectroscopy) equipment, we can detect as little as one part residual solvent in a million parts extract.
- We test for all of the residual solvents regulated in the states we operate, including acetone, alcohols, butanes, hexanes, benzene, toluene, and trichloromethane.
